Infertility and Involuntary Childlessness

**New for 2017 – I will be facilitating a support group for people who have ended fertility treatment and/or who are facing life without much-wanted children.  For details, please go to the end of this page.

Being diagnosed with fertility problems or living with unexplained infertility can cause immense emotional turmoil for men and women.  For many people, facing a future without children, for whatever reason, can constitute a personal disaster.  Infertility and involuntary childlessness can therefore leave its emotional impact on the individual and on relationships with partners, family and friends.

At whatever stage you find yourself, whether just exploring your options, undergoing fertility treatment, trying to decide whether to stop treatment or coming to terms with childlessness, you may feel this is the right moment for you to seek support.

Counselling enables you to explore the short and long-term implications of whatever course of action you choose with regards to your fertility journey.  It can also provide a way to re-frame the way you see yourself in the world and can help you to express and explore the deep feelings and emotions surrounding infertility and involuntary childlessness which many people feel unable to reveal to family and friends.

My knowledge of and specialist training in infertility and involuntary childlessness enables me to understand the complex array of both emotional and physical issues surrounding this, often ‘invisible’, condition.

I provide counselling services for the Agora Gynaecology and Fertility Centre in Brighton and Hove.

If you would like to talk to me about counselling for infertility and involuntary childlessness, please call me on 07753 228616.
