About My Practice

I qualified from University of Brighton with a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling. I work psychodynamically which means I am interested in unconscious processes and in how our past experiences and relationships may have an effect on our current psychological well-being.

I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and of the British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA).  I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework, BICA Guidelines for Good Practice in Infertility Counselling and Human Fertilisation and Embryology Association (HFEA) Code of Conduct.

My specialist area of work is infertility and involuntary childlessness and I have undertaken extra training with the British Infertility Counselling Association and with the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships (TCCR) and I am constantly updating my skills and knowledge in this area.  I hold a Certificate in Psychosexual Studies from the TCCR.

I am the appointed independent counsellor for the Agora Gynaecology and Fertility Centre in Hove.

If infertility or involuntary childlessness are issues which you feel affect you then please look at the dedicated page on ‘Infertility and Involuntary Childlessness’.

I am committed to continuing my professional development and each year I undertake courses and workshops in order to constantly update my knowledge and skills.

Fees

I charge £45 per 60 minute session for individuals and £60 for couples.

Implications sessions for clients considering fertility treatment with donor gametes are 1.5 hours and cost £100.

Some concessions are available for students and low income earners. Please call me to discuss this further.

Your first session

It is important that you feel comfortable forming a counselling relationship with me. The initial session will enable me to find out more about you and how I might be able to help you. It also gives you an opportunity to find out if you wish to continue therapy with me.

Consulting Rooms:

I consult in the Varndean area of Brighton, close to rail and bus services and accessible from many parts of Sussex, Surrey and London.
